Second Body Found From Missing Florida Family, Coast Guard Continues to Search for Others

The United States Coast Guard (USCG) continues to search for the bodies of the members of the missing Florida family and now they have recovered a second body.

The father was identified as Ace Kimberly and he has been living with his three teenage children on a boat for a year now. The second body was found on Thursday, June 23. According to USCG Captain Gregory Case, the helicopter and boat crews deployed to search for the family saw what appeared to be a white flare at around 2:26 A.M. The second body was then found on the same day during the afternoon.

The body is yet to be identified but the aunt of the children, Sadie Dilts, said that the body belonged to her eldest niece, 17-year-old Rebecca. Dilts said that they are holding on to hope until the last body is found, whether the person is alive or dead. Dilts is the sister of Pauline Solsberry, the ex-wife of Kimberly, whom he shares their three children with,

Rebecca has two other siblings, Donny, 15, and Roger, 13. They were last seen with their father last June 19, Sunday. They were aboard a 29-foot sailboat on their way to Fort Myers, Florida from Sarasota, also in Florida. The second body was found east of Boca Grande, four miles southeast of the location of the first body in a life jacket, which was found on Wednesday afternoon, CNN reported.

Kimberly reportedly called is brother saying that their boat was caught in 6-foot seas near Englewood, which is 30 miles from Sarasota. The brother added that Kimberly did say they were sailing through rough seas and thunderstorms.

Officials were able to fund six life jackets, a tarp, water bottles and a propane tank. Also, two kayaks have been recovered. Other personal items were found five miles from the location where the first body was found such as birth certificates, a wallet, cigarettes, mobile phone, a toolbox, and a GPS.

The rescue crews have covered 23,000 miles searching for the missing family.
