'Scream Queens' Season 2 Will See Taylor Lautner, What is the Role of the 'Twilight' alum?

The "Twilight" alum, Taylor Lautner, is set to join the FOX hit series "Scream Queens" and the actor shared that he is thrilled to be part of the small screen show.

The TV network announced on Thursday that Lautner has been casted on the show and the actor also shared a photo bearing his name with a bloodied hand holding up two fingers. He made the announcement on his Instagram account with the caption that reads: "Big news everyone!! Thrilled to be joining @screamqueensFox it's going to be such a blast playing Dr. Cassidy Cascade. The season 2 premiere is Tuesday, September 20 at 9pm on Fox!"

The horror-comedy series "Scream Queens" will be produced by Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk and Ian Brennan. It is said to be set in a hospital and it is to feature most of the fascinating and bizarre medical cases, E! News reported. Dr. Cassidy Cascade is said to be a doctor at the hospital who suffers from a strange medical condition. He then becomes a suspect after a series of tragic events takes place in the hospital.

He will be actin alongside John Stamos, a series regular, along with other stars coming back from the first season of "Scream Queens." Those who will be coming back are Emma Roberts, Lea Michele, Abigail Breslin, Jamie Lee Curtis, Keke Palmer, Glen Powell, Billie Lourd, and Niecy Nash.

The second season of "Scream Queens" is promised to be much darker than the first season. Curtis shared in an interview last May that she thinks the second season will be very dark as it is set in a hospital and there will be dark hallways, scary rooms, sharp objects, and a lot of blood.

Lautner has been in the small screen for his role in the UK comedy "Cuckoo" and his 2008 role in the Christian Slater series "My Own Worst Enemy." His recent films are "The Ridiculous Six," "Tracers," and "Valentine's Day."

"Scream Queens" Season 2 will premier this September 20.
