‘Gotham’ Season 3 Release Date, News & Update: 'Person Of Interest’ Actor In Bizarre Love Triangle With Jim Gordon? ‘Once Upon A Time’, ’Ted 2' Actresses Join S3?

"Gotham" Season 3 will throw "Person Of Interest" actor James Carpinello, as Mario Falcone, smack dub in the middle of a bizarre love triangle with "Deadpool" actress Morena Baccarin as Lee Thompkins and Ben McKenzie as Jim Gordon. James Carpinello will recur Mario Falcone in "Gotham" season 3 alongside "Once Upon A Time" actress Jamie Chung as Valerie Vale and "Ted 2" actress Maggie Geha as Poison Ivy.

TVLine reports that Mario Falcone will complicate life for Lee Thompkins and Jim Gordon when he joins "Gotham" Season 3. Lee Thompkins, last seen fleeing in heartbreak from Jim Gordon, had been heavily pregnant in "Gotham" Season 2.

Mario Falcone declaring undying devotion to a pregnant Lee Thompkins in "Gotham" Season 3 does not make sense unless viewers are acquainted with the saint-like offspring of Carmine, played by "The Wire" actor John Doman. "Gotham" adds Mario Falcone to the roster of good guys, as James Carpinello's character wants nothing to do with Carmine's mob career.

Given much of the conflict between Lee Thompkins and Jim Gordon as their "Gotham" romance flickered this way and then, Mario Falcone is all set as a welcome savior. The arrival of Mario Falcone in "Gotham" Season 3 will certainly test the depth of Jim Gordon and Lee Thompkins' relationship.

Digital Spy reports Jim Gordon will not only have love problems with the addition of Maggie Geha as the new Poison Ivy as a result from Ivy Pepper's "Gotham" Season 2 encounter at Indian Hill. "Gotham" Season 3 sees Poison Ivy reborn from 14-year old Clare Foley to grown up Maggie Geha.

Jamie Chung rounds up "Gotham" Season 3 additions as she plays Vicky's aunt, Valerie Vale, who is a journalist in "Gotham" Season 3, similar to Batman's (David Mazouz) future lady love Vicky.

Fox sets a "Gotham" Season 3 premiere date of September 19. Jim Gordon, Bruce Wayne and Lee Thompkins will welcome Mario Falcone, Jamie Chung and Maggie Geha with the returning cast of "Gotham" Season 3.
