PS4 Neo, Xbox One Scorpio, NX: Merge Between Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo For Ultimate Game Console Almost Happened [DETAILS]

When Microsoft initially entered the console market, it first wanted to have a partnership with Sony and Nintendo. It planned to launch the ultimate game console if the other companies agreed, but the idea didn't obviously pan out.

Microsoft was said to have proposed that it will develop the software for the game console with Sony and Nintendo making the hardware. But the latter companies didn't sign on to the idea. Hence, Microsoft went ahead to develop its first Xbox console. This happened in 2001 and the three major players competed and divided the gaming market since then.

PS4 Neo, Xbox One Scorpio, NX: Previous Plan To Merge Confirmed

This merger was a rumor that went on for many years, which was finally confirmed as the truth by Ed Fries, who was one of the original creators of the first Xbox. In an interview with IGN, Fries admitted to meeting with Sony and Nintendo a long time ago. You can watch the full video interview at the end of this article.

PlayStation Lifestyle reports that it was Bill Gates who talked to Sony for Microsoft, after discussions with Nintendo failed. PS4 Neo, Xbox One Scorpio, NX: The Future In Gaming

In the last decade, Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo have developed and released different consoles each and now, the companies are set to come head to head again for the release of the PS4 Neo, Xbox One Scorpio and Nintendo NX in 2017. These consoles have been reported to come with the most powerful features yet, as virtual reality gaming is slowly making its way in the mainstream market.
