Disney World 'Frozen' Ride Finally Opens; What Families Need To Prepare For Based On Those Who've Tried It

Disney World at the Epcot Center has finally opened its "Frozen" ride on Tuesday, June 21, 2016. As expected, this attraction is drawing large crowds, especially with families visiting the theme park for the summer.

However, those who have been at the site have had less than wonderful experiences. It's supposed to be the most popular ride at the Disney World, the happiest place on Earth. But why are guests not quite happy with it?

Per Fox 8, the most common problem encountered by guests hoping to try the "Frozen" ride at Disney World is the long lines. The estimated time for waiting in line is at least 300 minutes or five hours, which could dampen a family's whole trip to Disney.

The eager crowd might is to be expected, especially since the attraction just opened to the public. However, The Motley Fool reports that even after four days in operation, the lines at the "Frozen" ride are still long. Worse, the ride also suffers from regular breakdowns and power outages. Thus, this delayed people's chance at the "Frozen" ride further. Visitors had to wait until the attraction is back in operation.

Those using Fast Pass are at least quite privileged as their waiting time is less -- some 180 minutes. Still, for a Fast Pass, this is yet a huge inconvenience. It should also be noted that the Fast Pass is distributed in limited quantities for new rides, or until Disney World has worked out a better system for this. If you're trying to secure this for your family, you might have not much luck for now.

Minus the problems, the "Frozen" ride actually receives glowing praises from those who have been on it. Per Inside The Magic, it delivers a fantastic experience and marries the concept from the movie to the attraction nicely. Perhaps it would be better to wait until the hype has died down before visiting the "Frozen" ride.
