'The Walking Dead' Season 7 Spoilers, News & Update: Negan A Gym Teacher Before Apocalypse? Aaron Not Lucille's Victim, New Beth Joins?

"The Walking Dead" Season 7 premiere will show Aaron (Ross Marquand) escaping that swing from Lucille by Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan). News explains why Negan is so deft with a bat as "The Walking Dead" Season 7 villain had been a cranky gym teacher before he met Lucille in the apocalypse.

Carl Grimes (Chandler Riggs) is not alone in going onto adventures in "The Walking Dead" Season 7 and a potential romance with the new Beth Green, Jennie, as Aaron is now ruled out as a Negan casualty. A separate Parent Herald article cites that Negan and Lucille also skipped Michonne (Danai Gurira), Sasha (Sonequa Martin-Green) and Maggie Greene (Lauren Cohan) in "The Walking Dead" cliffhanger.

An interview by IGN with Ross Marquand indicates Aaron is not a Negan victim in "The Walking Dead" Season 7 premiere. Ross Marquand admitted that similar to Danai Gurira, he knows who Negan and Lucille bashed at "The Walking Dead" Season 6 finale.

Ross Marquand gave standard evasions as Norman Reedus and Danai Gurira on "The Walking Dead" Season 7 premiere revelation over Negan bash. However, IGN did ask Ross Marquand if spaghetti is on the menu for "The Walking Dead" Season 7, referring to the dinner Daryl Dixon shared with Aaron and Eric on "TWD" S6 Ep12.

Ross Marquand's response did not seem one from someone Negan beat to death in "The Walking Dead" Season 6 finale. "I hope there are more spaghetti dinners in Season 7," Ross Marquand said.

In the meantime Cleveland reports that backstory on Negan shows that the "The Walking Dead" Season 7 villain has more in common with Rick Grimes than obvious. Negan was a gym teacher and a reformed husband to a cancer-ridden wife before "The Walking Dead" apocalypse happened.

As with Rick Grimes in "The Walking Dead" Season 1, Negan saw the apocalypse begin from a hospital window while he looked after his sick wife. More of Negan, Lucille and the new Beth will be revealed by AMC as "The Walking Dead" Season premieres on October 9.
