'Star Wars' Mace Windu Declared Alive Despite Fall, Says Samuel L. Jackson

The "Star Wars" Jedi Master Mace Windu is alive! Yes, despite his hand being cut off, being electrocuted by Emperor Palpatine and the massive fall from the 278th floor of a building, Mace Windu might still be alive. After his fall in "Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith," it seemed highly improbable.

In a Twitter Q&A, "In my mind, I'm not dead. Jedi can fall incredibly high distances and not die," said Samuel L Jackson, who portrays Mace Windu in "Star Wars Episode II Attack of the Clones." The actor told a fan through his twitter that a Jedi can fall incredibly high distances and not be harmed.

Jackson later clarified his comments to Entertainment Weekly. He said that a Jedi can definitely live after falling from great heights. There is also a long history of one-handed Jedi, the Independent reported.

To recall, in episode II, the Coruscant chase of Anakin saw the young Padawan fall an exceptionally long way. Later we realize that he had grabbed onto a nearby speeder. Mace Windu could also have done that. Couldn't he?

The only person from the "Star Wars" team who knows anything about this is Lucas: "But George doesn't have anything to do with it anymore. [He was] like, 'I'm okay with [him being alive]. You can be alive.'"

If Mace Windu in "Star Wars" survived, where will he be? Will he lay low like Obi-Wan? When asked about it, Jackson replied that this is 'exactly' what he would do, reported Newsmax.

The appearance of Mace Windu in a "Star Wars" sequel or a spin-off could be a possibility. We can only hope that we ll see him again. If James is fine with him being alive, then anything is possible.

However, after Walt Disney took over in 2012, Lucas is no longer involved with the "Star Wars" franchise, reported Time. So, maybe, the theory remains.

Speaking about the 'The Force Awakens,' James Cameron stated recently that he was not too impressed, reported Independent. The seventh part of the saga is just too similar to what was presented before.
