‘General Hospital’ Cast & Spoilers: James Patrick Stuart Is Joining GH? Role To Change Soap’s Villains History?

ABC's daytime soap, "General Hospital," is reportedly adding a new supervillain with the casting of James Patrick Stuart. James role is expected to be something that is never-before-seen in the "General Hospital" history.

'General Hospital' Game Changer

James Patrick Stuart is going to play Valentin Cassadine, "the most heinous" of all the Cassadines and his character is set to be a game changer for "General Hospital," Daytime Confidential reported. Valentin Cassadine was a character originally created in 2009, but his storyline was dropped at that time in favor of another villain. That's why people haven't seen him yet although you probably have heard about him already. Luke Spencer (Anthony Geary) and Helena Cassadine (Constance Towers) have mentioned him in the past.

Valentin Cassadine's Story Arc

So what could Valentin possibly do in "General Hospital"? There's a lot of possible storylines for the lethal character and how he is going to shake things up and create havoc. According to Celeb Dirty Laundry, Valentin could be the Nathan West's (Ryan Paevey) father based on the hints dropped years back. Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) even shot Victor Cassadine (Thaao Penghlis) to prevent him from revealing that he is not the father her child.

Valentin also hates his family, which could have something to do with him being an illegitimate child of Mikkos Cassadine (John Colicos). And he also hates the Spencers. As the people Valentin hates set foot on Cassadine Island, they better watch their back.

CDL said James Patrick Stuart will first appear in "General Hospital" on July 8 and will set the adventures in Cassadine Island in motion. Stuart is known for his role in "All My Children" and he also appeared in "How to Get Away with Murder" (2015) and "2 Broke Girls" (2015).

"General Hospital" airs every weekday on ABC at 2 p.m.
