Air Jordan 29 'Photo Reel' Release Date & Price: Where to Buy?

A new Air Jordan 29 edition will dropping in stores this coming weekend. The sneakers, which shows Michael Jordan in mid-air, is aptly named the Air Jordan XX9 "Photo Reel."

The Air Jordan 29 "Photo Reel" was introduced to the public by a member of Jordan Brand's Public Relations, Samantha Baker, reports Kicks On Fire. The sneakers will be released during the NBA All Star Weekend, on February 13, 2015.

Sneaker Bar Detroit reports that the "Photo Reel" edition will be available in limited quantities at select Jordan Brand retailers. Sneaker News states that it will come in sizes 2-13. As for the price, most sites report the sneaker will cost $225.

The Air Jordan XX9 "Photo Reel" has, so far, received good comments from fans and collectors. Unlike the Jordan 1 Alpha - which received mixed reviews - most, if not all reviews for the Jordan XX9 "Photo Reel" are positive, says Wear Testers. 

The design is what catches people's attention. Instead of the usual jumpman logo, the sneaker has an actual photo of the great Michale Jordan himself. It is paying homage to the jumpman logo by knitting the photo onto the shoe, notes Sneaker News. 

On one side of the shoe is an original picture of a young MJ in mid-air, in his signature dunk stance. On the other side of the shoe is the Chicago Skyline. In the original photo, MJ seemingly soars over the Chicago skyline, while he is making a shot.

According to Sneaker Bar Detroit, the color schemes of the shoe are Team Orange and Gym Red.The site describes the color of the shoe as going from orange to blue. The official colors, though, are multi-color and black, reports Sneaker News.

However, the shoe does have a gradient background that shifts from orange to blue. The tip of the shoe is orange and shifts to blue as it gets closer to the ankle. The shoe's tongue is all blue with the number "23" stitched on it. Sneaker News also notes that the midsole of the Jordan 29 "Photo Reel" has elephant prints on it.

With its unique design, the Air Jordan XX9 "Photo Reel" has Jordan Brand fans eagerly waiting.
