[VIDEO] Inspiring Mom Is Changing Perception About Kids With Down Syndrome; Here's What She Did!

Katie Driscoll is a mom of a child with Down syndrome and as a photographer who has worked with many clients in advertising, she has noticed the lack of images that portrayed kids with disabilities. So, with her talent and abilitity, she decided to set up an organization that ensures children with Down syndrome or disabilities are also properly represented in the media. Changing the Face of Beauty is all about changing the standards people have about what's really beautiful.

She started this movement in 2012 and it has since spawned positive effects. Its impact is especially growing in social media, where it has a strong following. Now, you can spot young and beautiful kids with Down syndrome and disabilities in images and videos on print and television ads. They are no longer excluded from advertising spots in the media, thanks to this mom's gallant efforts and wonderful idea.

Watch Katie Driscoll talk about how she started Changing the Face of Beauty in this video below.
