Sugarland's Jennifer Nettles Gives Birth to Baby Boy

It's a boy for Jennifer Nettles. The 38-year-old singer of "Sugarland" and husband Justin Miller welcomed Magnus Hamilton Miller to the world on Thursday.

"We are so thankful for all the prayers and support and are excited to take some time together as a new family," a statement appeared on the official website of Sugarland, said.

After her divorce with first husband Todd Van Sickle in 2007, Nettles married Miller, whom she dated for two years. The couple, tied the knot in Tennessee last year and celebrated their first marriage anniversary in November. The country singer confirmed pregnancy in June.

Fans of the Grammy-winning singer welcomed the happy news.

"congrats Jennifer you will be a great mom. to you and Justin i wish y'all the very best with your bundle of joy Magnus, a very cool strong southern name ------mark----- congrats," one of the fans wrote.

Nettle's band mate Kristian Bush came forward to eradicate fans' concerns about the activities of the duo band coming to an end with Nettle's latest status as a mom.

"Jennifer and I are not finished making records. We know that," Bush told The Boot. "We're excited and this a great time to take a little bit of a breather because she's got to figure out being a mom. We've been on the road for a very long time, so there's no reason we shouldn't take a little time off. You've got to give people space to be a parent. I'm a parent and I know what kind of adjustment that has been for me. I love her more than anything in the world, and I will do whatever it takes to make sure her life adjusts so she can become the best possible mom she can be."

Nettles, who started performing at school assemblies, joined Hall and Bush to form Sugarland in 2003. In 2006, Hall left Sugarland. In 2008, Sugarland received three Grammy Award nominations and won awards for Best Country Song and Best Country Group/Duo Performance. Nettles is currently a judge on ABC's "Duets."
