'Avatar 2' Release Date & Plot Rumors: New Alien Species? Sequel to Feature Back from the Dead Characters and New Environment

"Avatar 2" release date rumors continue to spread like wildfire online. The highly anticipated sequel from visionary James Cameron has been reportedly delayed a couple of times before it has been slated for a rumored December 2018 release.

Original Film Stars To Return On 'Avatar 2'

Details about the "Avatar 2" have been very limited online. However, Australia Network News has recently revealed that some well-received characters from the first installment have been confirmed to return. Some of them include Sam Worthington (Jake Sully), Zoe Saldana (Neytiri), Sigourney Weaver (Dr. Grace Augustine), and Stephen Lang (Miles Quaritch).

"Avatar 2" release date and plot rumors are still uncertain about Weaver and Lang's return since both of their characters died in the first movie. However, reports are suggesting that there might be a transformation for both characters, somehow hinting that their return is highly plausible.

The publication also claimed that the same conflict will be dealt with in "Avatar 2." Release date and plot rumors suggest that it might still be humans vs. nature in the second installment. Apart from the rumored plot, "new worlds, habitats and cultures, and new alien species" will reportedly be featured in "Avatar 2."

In an interview, Cameron shared how difficult it was to make "Avatar 2" less than outstanding. "We have decided to embark on a truly massive cinematic process," he said, The Hollywood Reporter noted. "I've been working the last couple of years with a team of four top screenwriters, to design the world of Avatar going forward: the characters, the creatures, the environment, the new cultures," he added.
