Kate Middleton and Prince William’s Media Advisor Quits Over Love Triangle Drama?

Senior media adviser to Kate Middleton, Prince William and Prince Harry has quit his job at the Kensington Palace, Palace officials have confirmed. It may all be just a career move for the royal's PR man, but rumors are rife that Nick Loughran is leaving his post as a result of his love triangle with Kate's personal assistant Rebecca Deacon and Prince Harry's assistant Clara Madden.

Kensington Palace Staff Love Triangle

Three months ago, Deputy Press Secretary to Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Nick Loughran, reportedly dumped Kate's "Girl Friday" Rebecca Deacon after dating for two years. He then started courting Prince Harry's personal assistant Clara Madden and as their relationship is getting more serious, it has come to a point that Nick already has to leave. The 29-year-old Clara previously worked for William and Kate, Daily Mail reported.

Loughran's Resignation Not Connected To Love Life

Loughran's friend told the Daily Mail that his resignation is not connected in any way to his love life, saying that "Nick always planned to leave Kensington Palace to work in the private sector." Beginning September, Loughran will work as an associate director at PR firm Freuds.

Meanwhile, Jason Knauf, communications chief to William, Kate and Harry praised Nick's work at the royal PR team. He told the U.K. publication, "Nick has been an excellent, hard-working, and thoughtful member of the team. From jubilees, weddings, babies, polar explorations and tours to every corner of the planet, Nick has seen it all and contributed in every way possible."

Nick Loughran's departure though could be a hit to the Cambridges' public relations team. As pointed out by Celeb Dirty Laundry, no one could probably take the PR team seriously. It has failed to boost the images of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge who are deemed as the laziest royal members because of their rare appearances in events and charity works, and the staff themselves got involved in scandals.
