'Teen Wolf' Season 6 News & Update: Delay Not Caused By Dylan O'Brien , Three New Villains Surface

Why 'Teen Wolf' Season 6 Is Delayed?

Dylan O'Brien got into an accident while filming "Maze Runner 3." The accident caused him a serious injury that the production had to hold the filming of the said film. Following the said incident, there are rumors that O'Brien might not reprise his role in "Teen Wolf" Season 6 due to his condition.

However, "Teen Wolf" production insists that they are keeping Dylan O'Brien and that Stiles will stay in the series. Parent Herald previously reported that the "Maze Runner" star will still be part of "Teen Wolf" Season 6 but the new season will be delayed.

In a separate report from Parent Herald, "Teen Wolf" Season 6 was indeed delayed. There are speculations that the production opted to delay the upcoming season to give Dylan O'Brien enough time to recover and film. However, according to recent reports, Dylan O'Brien has nothing to do with the delay of "Teen Wolf" Season 6.

Gospel Herald reported that  "Teen Wolf" Season 6's delay is due to a "pitched battle" between VIACOM, MTV's parent company. In addition, MTV is waiting for the premiere of "Sweet/Vicious," which is expected to use "Teen Wolf" as its debut buddy.

What To Expect In 'Teen Wolf' Season 6

There is no doubt that many are excited for "Teen Wolf" Season 6. According to Jeff Davis, "[Season 6] has a great Lydia-Stiles story." The "Teen Wolf" creator even teased that it will surely make the Stydia fans happy.

Davis also teased that there is a new mythology in "Teen Wolf" Season 6 and added that there will be three new villains. "That new mythology involves three new characters, three new bad guys. I don't want to say too much, but they look really cool. And they're tall again. For some reason we like really tall villains," Davis told MTV.
