Busy Philipps is expanding her family. The 33-year-old "Cougar Town" actress announced, Monday, she is expecting her second child with husband Marc Silverstein on Twitter.
"So this happened," the overjoyed mom-to-be wrote, after posting a picture of a positive pregnancy test stick.
The new arrival will join the couple's 4-year-old daughter Birdie Leigh.
Philipps, well-known for her supporting roles on the television series "Freaks and Geeks", tied the knot with screenwriter Silverstein in 2007. In 2008, their daughter Birdie was born.
"I only became a celebrity because I had a kid. Before I was pregnant nobody cared," People magazine quoted the actress telling Babble. "I joke to my agent that having a baby made my career."
The actress, after welcoming her first child, was always proud of her new role.
"Becoming a mom allowed me to just relax in a way I never had before. I used to care A LOT about what I looked like in public, or what people thought of me. I care at least 40 percent less now," she told Parents. "I want Bird to see her mom as a woman who is confident and real; not someone who's always trying too hard. Don't get me wrong, I still like to dress up and get fancy from time to time but it's OK to be sweaty and without makeup at the grocery store or when you're flying internationally."
Philipps made an entry into the film world with the 2000 movie, "The Smokers". Apart from that, she has appeared in many movies including "White Chicks", "Made of Honor" and "He's Just Not That Into You".
