"Rick and Morty" Season 3 return date may not happen till late 2016 or early 2017. In an interview with Paste magazine, series co-creator Dan Harmon clarified rumors that the Cartoon Network series will be airing new episodes in August.

"That I can squash," he said. "I don't see any parallel universe where August is a possibility."

The series creator noted that they are still a long way to go before they can give a premiere date for "Rick and Morty" Season 3. This means that production for the upcoming season is still ongoing and news of the show's release date will have to come from the network itself.

This puts down all "Rick and Morty" Season 3 spoilers out there, which claim that the upcoming season will be out in July or August. At the very least, fans can expect to see the new season released in late 2016 or even early 2017.

While fans will have to wait for a much longer time for "Rick and Morty" Season 3, IMDB recently released unofficial synopses for the upcoming episodes of the show. If the released synopses are true, then fans and viewers will be able to see Rick in a prison and Morty will try to do whatever it takes to save him.

In "Rick and Morty" Season 3 episode 3, fake Rick and real Morty will be bonding together until the evil Morty comes along and takes real Rick with him. In episode 4, Evil Morty will be using something to his advantage.
