Many are looking forward to the return of "The Originals" following its cliffhanger season 3 finale. There have been rumors that baby Hope will be Klaus' only redemption in "The Originals" Season 4. According to reports, the production is casting a new character to play the older Hope.

'The Originals' Season 4 Casting Call For Hope

According to Backstage, the production for "The Originals" Season 4 is looking for a Caucasian female between 6 to 9 years old with brown or dark blonde hair. The character is to play a supporting role, a young daughter.

Although the post never really declared the details about the new character, the "The Originals" fans are certain that the child star will be playing the older Hope. Baby Hope is too young to exhaust his power. Parent Herald previously reported that there will be a time jump in "The Originals" Season 4.

Time Jump Necessary In 'The Originals' Season 4

"The Originals" executive producer Michael Narducci already confirmed the time jump in the upcoming season. "It's almost mandatory that there be some sort of time jump," he told TV Line.

"This is a definitive loss on the part of the Mikaelsons. The prophecy predicted they would fall, and they fell. There's no easy way out of the situation they're in," Narducci added about the Mikaelsons' fate in "The Originals" Season 4.

It is given that things will be tough for the Mikaelsons in "The Originals" Season 4. However, according to reports, Hope will be playing a significant role in the upcoming season. In fact, Klaus and Hayley's child, Hope, will be her dad's redemption.

'The Originals' Season 4 Returns Midseason Next Year

Meanwhile, Entertainment Weekly reported that "The Originals" will return midseason next year. This means that "The Originals" Season 4 will not be ready until January to April next year. However, Julie Plec has no issues with this.

"I don't mind midseason in theory," Julie Plec told the publication. " I mind not having an airdate, and I mind that we'll be done filming before we know if we're picked up for another season, but other than that, a midseason order is a guarantee of higher quality."

For Julie Plec having a midseason premiere for "The Originals" means that she has extra time to write, think and fix for the series. She teases she is excited to bring a "spectacular season 4."
