'Arrow' Season 5 News and Updates: Wild Dog Will Cross Paths With Oliver Queen but Will he be Part of Team Arrow? There is a New Big Bad in Town

"Arrow," the hit CW superhero drama, is currently producing its fifth season and many reports have claimed that Wild Dog will be meeting Oliver Queen. Also, there is said to be a new villain that will wreak havoc in town.

"Arrow" Executive producer, Marc Guggenheim, teased the fans about the episode titles of the upcoming installments of the series. He took to Twitter to post a photo of the scripts for episodes 1 and 2 last month. The first episode is entitled "Legacy" and was written by Guggenheim and Wendy Mericle. He posted another script for the second episode of "Arrow" entitled "The Recruits" and was written by Speed Weed and Beth Schwartz, MNR Daily reported.

'Arrow' Season 5 New Recruits

"Arrow" Season 5 Episode 2 could be speculated that there will be new recruits although it is unclear if they are pertaining to the protagonists or the antagonists. Many are claiming that Oliver Queen will be meeting Wild Dog, played by actor Rick Gonzalez.

"Arrow's" new vigilante, Wild Dog was known as Jack Wheeler in the DC Comics. He almost had it all since he was a sports jockey in high school and when he entered college, he had a football scholarship. However, things went downhill for him because he had to drop out of school and he ended up working as a mechanic. He got involved in an accident and became useless, as per his perception. His girlfriend was also killed by unidentified men.

Due to this, he started wearing a mask and became the Wild Dog. It is possible that he would be joining Team Arrow for "Arrow" Season 5 or could be someone who would be Green Arrow's enemy. Wild Dog is also a vigilante and takes justice into his own hands but his ways and Arrow's ways might be different.

Is There a New Villain for "Arrow" Season 5?

As for the new villain for "Arrow" Season 5, it was assumed that Tobias Church will be the big bad this season. However, Church's character is said to be just a typical gangster and is not that much of a threat.

"Arrow" Executive Producer Wendy Mericle said in a statement that the villain for Season 5 is actually someone that "Oliver unwittingly created in Season 1 when he was a killer in a hood." The big bad lost someone killed by Queen several years ago and has dedicated his life to plotting for revenge.

"Arrow" Season 5 will be out on the small screen this October 5 at 8 P.M. on The CW.
