'The Leftovers' Season 3 Teaser, Spoilers & News: Cast Sightings In Oz Offer Clues To S3; First Trailer Hits This Fall?

It's been a busy few weeks in Oz, a.k.a. Australia, for "The Leftovers" cast who are in a Melbourne town to shoot the show's third season. The critically-acclaimed series earlier announced that it will be going overseas for its final production. Locals have apparently been spotting the actors on the set down under.

'The Leftovers' Season 3 Cast Sighting In Australia

On Reddit, a member shared seeing Carrie Coon filming a scene for "The Leftovers" Season 3 at the Treasury Gardens and cited that there was a fake baby and real baby with the actress. She was supposed to be taking a 570 Eastwood bound bus, which locals said doesn't have an actual route. One suggested 570 might have a significance on the show.

Another member also shared seeing trailers for the actors with their characters' names, such as Nora Durst for Carrie Coon and Kevin Garvey for Justin Theroux. One trailer had the name Grace, which avid viewers do not recognize. Could Grace refer to recently added cast member Lindsay Duncan?

The choice to film "The Leftovers" Season 3 in Australia is integral to the storyline. The location has been hinted in several episodes of the previous season, especially when Kevin had his near-death experience in "The Leftovers" Season 2 Episode 8, per Indiewire.

Speaking with TV Line, executive producer and show creator Damon Lindelof also teased that viewers should "pay close attention to the accent the brilliant Bill Camp was using." The actor appeared in two episodes and talked with an Australian accent in the series.

'The Leftovers' Season 3 Teaser

A teaser for "The Leftovers" Season 3 has not yet been released by HBO. But with production underway, it is expected that the first trailer will be coming in autumn. It would be the best time to drum up the show's return.

"The Leftovers" usually begins its new season run between August and October. But for "The Leftovers" Season 3, viewers won't begin watching the episodes until early 2017 as HB0 has scheduled the final season for a later timetable. The series finale will also only run with eight episodes, as opposed to its usual 10 episodes, per Screen Crush.
