PS4 News: PlayStation Plus Free Games for August 2016; 'The Last of Us Remastered,' 'Devil May Cry 4' Possible Titles?

Speculations for PlayStation Plus free games for August 2016 have been circulating online. While Sony has yet to confirm what titles will be offered for free for subscribers, fans are guessing that at least one triple-A will be included in the roster.

As Tech News Today speculated, "The Last of Us Remastered," "Pro Evolution Soccer 2016," "Batman: Arkham Knight," "Knack," "Killzone: Shadowfall," or "Devil May Cry 4: Special Edition" could make it to the list for August. Previous reports have already suggested that "Yakuza 5" is also a top contender for the PlayStation Plus free games for August 2016 roster.

Meanwhile, apart from the PlayStation Plus free games for August 2016, fans of the Sony gaming console are also anticipating further announcements for the PS4 Neo release date. It was previously hinted that a 2016 Holiday launch for the upgraded Sony console could be underway.

In a CNBC interview with GameStop CEO Paul Raines, some fans mistakenly took one of his replies as a possible confirmation for the PS4 Neo release date. Not long after his interview, the company's PR team quickly rectified the situation.

"Yes, there will be a new Nintendo console launch in March 2017," Raines said, as Gamespresso reported "But remember, there are two different form factors: a PS4 Neo and an Xbox One new slim version. So there will be some activity and upgrades, along with the VR."

GameStop's PR team quickly released a statement after claiming that "Paul did not say that Xbox One S and PlayStation Neo hardware units would be coming for the holidays. The anchor was the one who referenced the holiday period."
