Amanda Abbington posted the photo of about Mary's Golden Wrap" on "Sherlock" Season 4 on her Twitter. According to Huffington Post UK, a golden wrap usually indicates a traditional farewell for actors already done on the set. Replies on the actress' post also clarified what golden wrap meant, suggesting that Mary's part on the "Sherlock" Season 4 is over and done with.

Having a ring in her photo has sparked speculations that Mary and John would end up in divorce in "Sherlock" Season 4. But the actress followed up the tweet with a clarification that the ring is not Mary's wedding band. "It's her own ring. From her past," Abbington tweeted.

'Sherlock' Season 4': Mary Will Die?

Amanda Abbington's stint on "Sherlock" has always been speculated to be a short one since the character was introduced in 2014. Even Martin Freeman (Watson), the actress' reel and real life partner, believes death will come to Mary on the TV show, per a previous Telegraph interview.

In the original books, the show is based from, Mary actually dies shortly after her marriage to Watson. However, the TV character has slightly deviated from her basic story, as Mary on television has lived longer than the book version.

Mary was also turned into an assassin in the TV series, whereas the book version of "Sherlock" painted her as a demure character. Radio Times suggest that if her character will indeed die in "Sherlock" Season 4, her end should be dramatic and unforgettable.
