The Other Side of Parenting: Funniest People On Earth May Have The Most Serious Parenting Style

Serious parenting should not always be done seriously at all. These comedians will teach parents how.

In an all-new series entitled 'Parenting For Kids' Vic Reeves and his fellow comedians, Sally Phillips and Katherine Ryan, will be sharing their child-raising tips. This time, serious parenting comes from some of the funniest people in showbiz as cited on Channel4.

This 3-part TV series for Channel 4 features celebrities that include Carrie Fisher, Freddie Flintoff and Jonathan Ross at their most truthful moment as they share stories from their private lives as parents.

On top of that, child-free celebrities like Made In Chelsea's Jamie Laing and Janet Street Porter will be given kids of other people, and they will look after these kids for the very first time.

For Channel 4's head of formats, Dom Bird, modern parents spend a large portion of their time worrying too much about whether they are bringing their children up the right way. "The truth is most of us are making it up as we go along, and it's time to admit it. Expect laughter, embarrassment and inappropriate tales as Parenting for Idiots invites you to sit down with a large glass of wine and revel in the reality that you're not the only one to get it wrong as often as you get it right," Bird said as cited on Chortle.

Meredith Chambers, executive producer from production company Electric Ray, believes that parenting adorable kids is truly most rewarding. However, parenting may frequently be seen as a tedious job for working parents, especially celebrities with hectic schedule. "Mums and dads are becoming increasingly honest and funny about their stressful, dirty, unpaid work. We're slowly getting over the myth of perfect parenting and for the first time this show will capture what bringing up baby is really like," Chambers elaborated.
