Kanye West News: Famous Singer Urges Apple To Buy Tidal; Rift With Jay-Z Coming?

In the latest in Kanye West News, the All of the Lights singer burst out on social media, demanding Apple CEO Tim Cook to get in a room and discuss the future of Tidal, the streaming service fellow rapper Jay-Z owns. The tweets by West, who owns a stake in the music company, confirm rumors that the tech conglomerate has been in negotiations with Tidal to purchase the service and appears to imply that the talks have hit some roadblocks.

After a few weeks full of Kanye West News, this demand is no surprise especially after the struggles the streaming company had in the past few years since its launch, Variety reported. West must be getting concerned after Tidal voted off its COO and CFO back in March. "Apple give Jay his check for Tidal now and stop trying to act like you Steve [Jobs]," he tweeted. "This Tidal Apple beef is f-king up the music game," Kanye wrote. "I need Tim Cook Jay Z Dez Jimmy Larry me and Drake Scooter on the phone or in a room this week!!!"

This is not the first time we heard of Kanye West News appealing to tech executives via Twitter, the Verge reported. Earlier this year, he also tried to reach out to Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg to invest in his ideas after announcing he was going bankrupt. So far, Zuckerberg has not heeded his requests. With this Kanye West update, is it very possible that a feud with Jay-Z is coming as it was clear Tidal and Apple were trying to make the deals a secret.
