According to Bustle, "Preacher" Season 2 is confirmed. The sequel to your new favorite TV series will be returning for another season next year. Since it will be on hiatus for a long while, it is recommended that you keep an eye on the new shows.

Another reason to rejoice is that "Preacher" Season 2 will include more episodes. The first "Preacher" season only aired 10 episodes; the upcoming season will have 13.

Although it's not as many as we want, having more episodes means that everyone recognizes the show's potential. In addition, it means more thrill, drama and adventures in "Preacher" Season 2.

What To Expect In "Preacher" Season 2

"Preacher" ended with an apocalypse that is similar to Sodom and Gomorrah. Most of the characters that we love and adore are gone with only Jesse, Tulip (Ruth Negga) and Cassidy surviving. All three are on their crusade to find God.

So whom will we see in "Preacher" Season 2 aside from the three? "In the end, we had to clear the deck, there are so many great characters from the comic to come," show creator Sam Catlin told Deadline.

The first "Preacher" is set to be a prequel of the Vertigo comic book and this is how Catlin summarized it. "In the first season we really wanted to establish Jesse's relationship to God and lack thereof, He is disillusioned and losing his congregation from the beginning. We needed to put Jesse's journey into context, and his mission for next season," said Catlin.
