Jill Duggar Baby: 1st Solo Instagram Photo of Israel David Revealed!

Jill Duggar is a new mother! The "19 Kids and Counting" star and husband Derick Dillard, welcomed a son on Monday, as reported in US Magazine. Israel David Dillard is the couple's first child. The infant weighed 9 lbs. 10 oz. and was born at 11:49 p.m. on April 6. Jill and Derick initially wanted to have a home birth for Israel. In the end, the infant was born under a hospital's care, according to People.

A photo of the Jill, Derick and their new son was posted on the couple's official website. A caption below the picture read, "We think he's adorable! Mom and baby are both doing wonderful. We are so thankful for his safe arrival and look forward to this great new journey called Parenthood!"

Jill also shared a photo of her newborn son on social media. She captioned Israel's first solo picture with the message, "He's a beautiful baby boy! Israel David Dillard, born last night at 11:49pm!"

This was followed by another photo, this time featuring the entire family. Jill captioning the picture with the message, "So thankful to God for this handsome little guy! 9lbs 10oz, 23 inches long! #IsraelDavidDillard #babydilly."

Grandparents Michelle and Bob Duggar also shared their happiness to the world with Jill and Derick by posting this message on Facebook, "We are so thankful for a healthy Mom and baby! Love this sweet baby Israel! We are happy grandparents and we promise more pictures soon!"

Jill also shared her experience in giving birth to Israel past her due date to People magazine, "I have told myself, 'First-time moms often go a week and a half over, so don't get discouraged.' When everyone else is asking you, 'When are you going to have that baby?' The baby will come when the baby comes."

Israel's birth is going to be featured in TLC, a few days earlier of Mother's Day. In a video, Jill admitted that details surrounding Israel's birth did not go the way they were planned, as indicated in E! Online. She shared, "Not everything went as expected. So we were reminded of the verse that the Bible talks about when 'Man plans his way but the Lord directs his steps.' We were encouraged by that. He's just a handsome little fella and we'd like everybody to stay tuned to TLC. May 5th they're going to be showing the birth episode as well as things surrounding that."

Jill and Derick were married in June 2014. Two months prior to giving birth, the pair announced they were expecting their first child.
