Hollywood Break-up Update: Will Kopelman And Drew Barrymore Finalize Divorce Details Almost A Month After Filing

Drew Barrymore and Will Kopelman announced their split less than a month ago but they have already finalized their divorce. This then marks the actress being officially divorced from her former husband and got in one of the quickest settlements ever.

According to reports, the reason behind the quick settlement is because the two never appeared in court as the filing was uncontested, Yahoo reported. The former couple did not fight about assets or custody over their two daughters, three-year-old Olive and two-year-old Frankie.

Barrymore filed for divorce just last July but she and Kopelman have broken things off in March this year. at that time, a joint statement was released wherein they said that their family is separating legally.

The statement added, "Divorce might make one feel like a failure, but eventually you start to find grace in the idea that life goes on. Our children are our universe, and we look forward to living the rest of our lives with them as the first priority." Accordingly, the actress and the art consultant had some troubles in their relationship but were not specified, E! News reported.

A source did say, however, that the two have been living separate lives over the past few months and he has not been involved in her company, Flower. Barrymore never spoke ill about Kopelman but the source pointed out that the two have become disconnected.

In an interview last April with the magazine Good Housekeeping, Barrymore said that she does not think there was one moment when she knew she wanted to spend her life with Kopelman calling their relationship a sweeping and a fluid process.

Barrymore added, "It was falling in love with his family, being ready to have a family of my own and thinking if I had a family with this family, it would be really wonderful. Sometimes there's just a time to go for it with a good person."

Barrymore and Kopelman wed back in 2012 after four months of dating. The two are reportedly together now with their kids in Nantucket. The two are splitting time in California and New York to take care of their two children and share responsibilities.
