'Jane The Virgin' Season 3 Spoilers & News: Will Narrator Anthony Mendez Ever Show His Face?

"Jane the Virgin" is undoubtedly one of The CW's most endearing programs and aside from its cast, the narrator, Anthony Mendez, adds to the show's charm and distinct appeal. Mendez is the lone actor who has received an Emmy nomination for the series this year. Will the voice show his face in front of the cameras in Jane the Virgin" Season 3?

It's the second time Anthony Mendez has been nominated for an Emmy for Outstanding Narrator. This year, he joins fellow nominees Adrien Brody ("Breakthrough"), Keith David ("Jackie Robinson"), David Attenborough ("Life Story") and Laurence Fishburne ("Roots"), per Fox Latino. The voice actor told Vulture that he draws out the Americanized Latin Pillow Talk in narrating "Jane the Virgin" and described the process as a "one-on-one" thing with the audience.

But on the subject of whether or not the show will reveal his face or identity on "Jane the Virgin," the voice actor revealed that there's a lot of potential to making this happen. However, it might not take place in the third season just yet. According to the New York Post, "Jane the Virgin" showrunner Jennie Snyder Urman is said to be planning the reveal when the show is on its final season or the series finale, which could end up in a couple of years or more.

Meanwhile, "Jane the Virgin" star Gina Rodriguez declared that Season 3 will be a "roller coaster" ride, per Parade. The actress alluded that her character will undergo "a lot of growth" and change in the upcoming season.

Seems change is really in order for Gina Rodriguez, as the actress is currently sporting a shorter blonde hair instead of her trademark long and dark tresses. The actress said that her new look, which she haven't boldly altered in the last 20 years, is not for "Jane the Virgin," but for filming the movie "Annihilation," per E! Online.

Meanwhile, "Jane the Virgin" Season 3 production will begin later this August. The show's new season is expected to premiere on Monday, Oct. 17.
