While staging a concert in Texas, singer Bobby Brown revealed to the crowd that his daughter Bobbi Kristina, who has been in a coma since January, has already allegedly awaken.
In the middle of Brown's performance at the Verizon Theater in Dallas, the singer blurted out that "Bobbi is awake. She is watching me," to the audience, which elicited a lot of screams and applause. TMZ was able to take an exclusive video of this moment, which you can view below.
Brown's statements were further boosted by his sister, Tina, who posted a message of thanks on her Facebook account, reported E! Online. Tina allegedly wrote, "yes, she woke up and is no longer on life support!!!!!:):) God is good!! thanks for your prayers, still a process, but she is going to be ok:):):):)."
But a source close to the family insists that Bobbi Kristina's condition remains the same. "As far as I know, there's been no change. We're still hoping and praying that God will perform a miracle," said the source, according to Time.
Bobbi Kristina, 22, and the only daughter of the late Whitney Houston with Bobby Brown, was found unconscious in her Atlanta home last Jan. 31. She was immediately brought to the hospital for treatment, but the young celebrity's condition met complications when doctors tried to wake her from her coma. This led to violent seizures, as stated in the same Time Magazine report. Bobbi Kristina has since been moved to an undisclosed long-term care facility, also located in Atlanta.
While her father remains hopeful she will fully recover one day, sources from Houston's side of the family, particularly her grandmother Cissy Houston, are skeptical. According to a source who spoke with the Daily Mail, "They don't think what Bobby is doing is the best thing for her." The family believes that taking her off life support would be the best option, but Bobby reportedly has the final word.
This is not the first time Bobby has expressed his emotions about his daughter's condition during a concert. The Daily Mail also reports that the singer was grief-stricken during an April 11 performance in Los Angeles, noting that the '80s pop star looked quite tired and emotional when he spoke to the crowd. This was his first public appearance after Bobbi Kristina's hospitalization.
