‘Pokemon GO’ Gym Battle Tips & Tricks: How To Make Your Gym Impenetrable; Train Your Gym With These Top Tips

"Pokemon GO" players can build up gym Prestige for their own color even while harnessing battle skills. Using these "Pokemon GO" gym battle tips, a player will not only build up Prestige but also make sure that Prestige remains healthy and the gym impenetrable.

According to Touch Arcade, the three important gym stats that "Pokemon GO" players should remember are: Prestige, gym level and guardian Pokemon. While Prestige links directly to the gym level, the latter determines the number of Pokemon slots a gym can have. Guardian Pokemon, on the other hand, is the Pokemon line up that "Pokemon GO" players should battle to either train or decimate a gym Prestige.

When a "Pokemon GO" players trains a gym or engages in friendly gym battle the Prestige of the gym goes up. When a "Pokemon GO" player engages in a gym battle of a rival color, the gym loses Prestige for every Pokemon the player downs.

As gym battles go, "Pokemon GO" players often use Pokemon with higher CP whether in rival gym or friendly gym battle. Phandroid points out that "Pokemon GO" players can train their gym faster by using a lower Combat Power (CP) Pokemon.

As an illustration, Phandroid cites that a gym which has an abundance of Pokemon with 1500 and up CP is an easy feat for a "Pokemon GO" player with a Pokemon of 2000 CP. In this scenario, the "Pokemon GO" player can earn the gym 500 Prestige.

However, if the "Pokemon GO" player uses a Pokemon with 1000 CP (or any lower CP), gym battle could earn as much as 1,700 Prestige. A smart tip from Touch Arcade highlights that the guardian Pokemon with the highest CP is often at the forefront of a gym.

A "Pokemon GO" player can check out the entire line up of guardian Pokemon by tapping on the gym to display all its info. Swiping the "Pokemon GO" screen from side to side displays the entire defender Pokemon line up of the gym.
