'The Big Bang Theory' Not Ending After Season 10? CBS Believes Cast Still Wants To Continue Work For More Seasons

Season 10 of "The Big Bang Theory" was rumored to be the end of the sitcom but CBS, the network where the show airs, recently said that they believe the show is not going anywhere. CBS added that they feel the actors and actresses, who makes up the show, will still want to work on more seasons.

"The Big Bang Theory" Season 10 is set to come back this September and many believed that because the mother and brother of Penny will be introduced, the show will be wrapping up. However, CBS feels otherwise.

CBS chief Glenn Geller was at the Television Critics Association's press tour on Wednesday and he said, "We are very confident that everyone involved wants more Big Bang past year 10. I know Warner Bros will make those deals."

Geller did not reveal anything about when the fans will know if "The Big Bang Theory" will get more seasons after the 10^th installment but he said that they will put it on for as long as everyone wants the show on the air. Geller also added that he hopes "The Big Bang Theory" will have more seasons and wished that it could go on forever, Entertainment Weekly reported.

Many fans were also concerned that "The Big Bang Theory" will no longer exceed Season 10 as they compared it with NBC's "Friends" ending after 10 seasons and "Seinfeld" not being renewed after nine seasons.

Other fans believed that "The Big Bang Theory" Season 10 might not be the last installment of the sitcom due to the fact that three of the main characters, Jim Parsons, who plays Sheldon, Johnny Galecki, who plays Leonard, and Kaley Cuoco, who plays Penny, have signed a three-year-contract, which expires this May. All of them are currently paid $1 million per episode, USA Today reported.

"The Big Bang Theory" is also still popular despite its long run. 20.6 million viewers reportedly watched "The Big Bang Theory" Season 9. Only "The Big Bang Theory" and "NCIS" are the network series that have topped the 20 million mark regarding viewership. 

"The Big Bang Theory" executive producer Steve Molaro also recently said that he was not looking at Season 10 as the last installment for the sitcom but he already has an idea on how the show would end. He shared that he has personal thoughts that have been floating around in his head but he does not want to think about it now since he believes the show will not end soon because the thought of it makes him sad. 

"The Big Bang Theory" Season 10 will show Leonard and Penny getting married again, this time in front of their family and friends, and the pregnancy of Bernadette. It will be coming back to the small screen this September 19 at 8 P.M. on CBS.
