MMA News: GSP Talks Comeback and Epic Rematch With Rival Nick Diaz

One of the biggest names in MMA, Georges St.-Pierre, recently announced a possible comeback in the UFC, following the call-out made by UFC Welterweight Champion Tyrone Woodley, but the former UFC Champ GSP, has other plans for his return, opting to face long-time rival Nick Diaz, instead.

The feud between Georges St. Pierre and Nick Diaz became one of the biggest stories in 2013, where both men back and forth, called each other out, in promotional events, and even up to the official weigh-ins. The outcome was a title fight for the UFC Welterweight belt at UFC 153, which resulted in GSP defeating the "Bad Boy of Stockton" via unanimous decision.

Now that St. Pierre has recently revealed that he is preparing for his return to the fight game, and Nick Diaz having his suspension lifted, the thought of both fighters facing each other in the Octagon again, is becoming more and more of a possibility.

Georges St. Pierre, according to Bloody Elbow, has already started the USADA process in order to make it back to the UFC. In the same interview, GSP was asked whether Diaz was gonna be his first opponent when he makes it back to the Octagon, he said " I don't care if it's the first, or second, or third. If they want me to fight Nick Diaz it would be my pleasure. I don't mind, I am not afraid of Nick Diaz," adding, "I beat him last time, and I'll beat even worse, I'll beat him way worse next time that I'll fight him."

This was after Nick Diaz's post-suspension interview with ESPN, where he claims that St.-Pierre wouldn't want to fight him, and that the rest of the welterweight division is filled up with lackluster talent, saying "I don't see Georges St-Pierre coming back," adding "he's too scared to come back and do a fight with me and the rest of these guys are not superstars. Who are they?

Both St-Pierre and Diaz have been out of action for nearly two years, with GSP retiring after successfully defending his belt in a bout against Johnny "Big Rig" Hendricks, and Diaz suspended for 18 months after a failed drug test, in the aftermath in January of 2015.

There is still no confirmation of either welterweight making a definite comeback to the UFC Octagon.
