Upcoming Superhero Film Focuses on the Negative Effects of Drug Use

Drugs are starting to become quite the sizeable problem in today's society, and have even affected adolescents to an extent. Luckily there are now a lot of people trying to combat this epidemic in innovative ways in order to catch the attention of the masses. One of the people is Jesse Heffernan, a Certified Recovery Coach, who just also happens to be in recovery for a past dug problem.

Heffernan has been clean for more than 15 years, says an article on the Huffington Post, and he wants to share some of the things he learned during that time to the general public. He wants to do so in a creative manner. Now, he will have the chance to do so due to taking part in the creating of a superhero film wherein the protagonists try to solve various problems that are related to drugs and addiction.

The film is currently being produced by a company known as Wega Arts and is knonw as "Heroes Rising." On the about page of the project it says, "Around the country communities are responding to the heroin epidemic. It is grim. It is overwhelming. Resources don't begin to match the problem." Aside from attempting to combat the rampant drug problems today, the film is also set apart due to the fact that high school students are also working on it alongside a professional crew.

The movie features animation as well as live action, as well as many other elements that are set to make it a hit. The film is currently in development as of writing this article and you can still support it on Indiegogo if you have the available resources to do so. This film will hopefully touch many lives all across the globe either by helping prevention efforts or by helping people go sober.
