Gaming News: ‘Hitman: Season 2’ Already Under Development After ‘Hitman’ Success

Agent 47 is back in the all new "Hitman" video game that has players travelling all over the world in exotic places to track down and make "hits" on big name targets, in various dangerous missions in this action-packed stealth third person shooter. With it's garnered success, the game's developing studio, IO Interactive, is already busy working on Agent 47's next hit in "Hitman: Season 2".

The latest game in the "Hitman" series which was released in March 11, 2016 is currently being met with great reviews, with tech website Trusted Reviews, giving the game an overall score of 8/10.

Much like it's predecessors in the "Hitman" franchise, the latest instalment allows players to create their own plot of assassination. From using stealth to sneak up and subduing enemies, to using sniper rifles to make kills from a distance, or plant explosives. What's new with the latest "Hitman" game, apart from it's storyline, is the style of it's release.

The new "Hitman" game was premiered as a new "season", with subsequent "episodes" being released, and available for download in the following months. IO Interactive says on the Playstation Blog, that the release style was inspired by and will be similar to a television show airing episodes, where individual mission stories will eventually come together at the end of the first season of "Hitman". This will also give players the feel of actually being a contract assassin like Agent 47.

Fans can already be excited as IO Interactive has already announced, albeit low-key, that they are already working on "Hitman Season 2". Christian Elverdam of IO Interactive says "We actually have quite a few ideas for where we want to take the story. And I think it will be quite exciting for people to see that whole universe of the game. So yeah, the future holds many seasons of Hitman!," in an interview with Gaming Bolt.

With the last episode of "Hitman" about to be released midway through August, fans can expect plenty of spine-tingling action while playing as Agent 27.
