‘Pokémon GO’ Tips & Tricks: Evolve The Upcoming Generation 2 Pokémon With These Methods

Some Generation 1 Pokémon in "Pokémon GO" are unable to evolve into more powerful creatures, but there are hopes that these Gen 1 Pokémon will be able to evolve soon. Many gamers believe that Niantic's upcoming update for the game will introduce Generation 2 Pokémon to trainers.

To get the upcoming Pokémon easily, players should catch Gen 1 Pokémon and save up on candies before the update rolls out. Here are some tips and tricks so the evolutions of your Gen 1 Pokémon will be easier, as reported by Pokémon GO Informer.

Bellossom. A Grass-type Pokémon, is Gloom's alternate third and final stage evolution after evolving from Oddish. There's a huge chance that a Bellossom evolution requires 100 candies, but it could also be a semi-random evolution like what happens with Eevee.

Blissey. Chansey's second and final stage evolution is Blissey. This Normal-type Pokémon needs 100 candies for evolution.

Crobat. Looking to use your Zubats? You need 100 candies to evolve its second evolution, Golbat, into Crobat, the dual-type Poison/Flying Pokémon's third and final stage evolution.

Espeon & Umbreon. Eevee's second and final stage evolutions are Espeon and Umbreon. To achieve these Eeveelutions in "Pokémon GO," trainers need 25 candies.

Hitmontop. Tyrogue, a Gen 1 Pokémon, has two other evolutions that also classify as Gen 1: Hitmonlee and Hitmonchan. It's likely that in the upcoming "Pokémon GO" update, Hitmonlee and Hitmonchan candies will be changed into Tyrogue candies. The latter can be used to evolve the creature into Hitmontop, Tyrogue's final second-generation evolution.

Kingdra. Kingdra is the third and final stage evolution of Seadra, which evolves from Horsea. To evolve into Kingdra, 100 candies should be used.

Politoed. Trainers need to feed 100 candies to Poliwag and Poliwhirl to evolve them into Politoed, the third and final stage evolution. Keep in mind, however, that Politoed could also be a chance evolution like Bellossom and Eevee.

Porygon2. Porygon, a Natural-type Pokémon, originally has no evolution. But the upcoming "Pokémon GO" update will likely allow a Porygon2 evolution with 50 candies.

Scizor. Scyther evolves into Scizor with 50 candies. Keep in mind, however, that Scizor is weaker than its original form.

Slowking. Slowpoke will evolve into its second and final stage evolution, Slowking, with 50 candies. Gamenguide, however, noted that Slowking can be a chance evolution too.

Steelix. The Rock/Ground Type Pokémon, Onix, can evolve into the more intimidating Steelix with 200 candies. Steelix is Onix's second and final stage evolution.
