Pokemon GO Update: Creators Developing Harry Potter Version? Niantic Sued!

After becoming a bona fide worldwide sensation, people have been trying to ask about what the next Pokemon GO update will be. However, it looks like, we will not see a Pokemon GO update in the next few months but an entirely new game, albeit with the same aesthetics.

According to the Telegraph UK, there is a chance that Niantic will be teaming up with the "Harry Potter" franchise for a massive "Harry Potter"-themed Pokemon GO update. This was after a petition titled "Accio Harry Potter Go: We Want a Harry Potter Version of Pokemon Go!" went viral and earned 50,000 signatures (so far). The Pokemon GO update is said to have been scheduled for an early 2017 release to capitalize on the buzz of the first entry in the Harry Potter prequel series "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them."

The Pokemon GO update news, however, ended up being fake, Game Spot reported. However, YouTube channel Stargaze Media did offer us a look of what the Pokemon GO update would look like if it were true.

In the latest Pokemon GO update, on the other hand, Game Spot also reports that creators of the game are facing a class action suit after a Detroit couple has been disturbed by how many people are flocking to a park near their home because of the game. The lawsuit alleges that Niantic, Nintendo and the Pokemon Company should give a portion of the revenue to people whose properties have been instrumental to the game's popularity after they experienced trespassing in their lawns.

For more news about whether the Pokemon GO update that involves Harry Potter characters are true, check back in the next few days as we get more information about the alleged project. What do you think about this latest Pokemon GO update news? Will a Harry Potter GO ever materialize? Will it just be a marketing tactic for "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them"?
