Henry Cavill Hints At Black Superman; Man Of Steel To Become A Bad Guy In ’Justice League’ Movie?

Henry Cavill, who took on the red cape as this generation's Superman in "The Man of Steel" and "Batman V Superman," teased fans of a black version of Superman's suit, indicating that he might return for the next film in the DC extended universe franchise.

Cavill recently posted a photo on his Instagram of some type of black armor-like fabric, with the caption "#Superman." Without any other type of information revealed, fans immediately came up with the theory that the image could be a piece of Superman's brand new black suit, which Cavell might wear in the new "Justice League" movie, if he were indeed to be in it.

Following the end of "Batman V Superman", where moviegoers were shocked to see Superman supposedly "killed" by Doomsday and then seemingly come back to life in the end, leaving many to question the fate of "The Man of Steel." Seeing as how Superman still plays a key role in the DC universe, fans are still in doubt that the "Son of Krypton" could "die" so suddenly.

According to Screen Rant, the comic-book version of Superman's death which also includes his resurrection in "The Death and Return of Superman", the "Man of Steel" comes back to life, only this time he has longer hair and dons an all black suit. If director Zack Snyder keeps true to this aspect of the comic version, then fans will definitely get to see Superman in the all-black outfit, and maybe some longer locks, in the near future.

The DC extended universe film franchise looks to prove a point with the new "Justice League" movie, as the last two major releases for the DCEU, namely "Batman V Superman" and "Suicide Squad," have been received poorly by most critics, despite a strong performance in the box office.

The "Justice League" movie will have Ben Affleck and Gal Gadot reprising their roles as Batman and Wonder Woman, as Jason Momoa and Ezra Miller will play the other "Justice League" members Aquaman and The Flash, respectively. The film will premier on November 17, 2017, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
