NBA Trade Rumors: Philadelphia 76ers Trying To Move Jahlil Okafor? The Bulls Expressing Interest Dealing Taj Gibson

After a great rookie season Jahlil Okafor is now part of the trade rumors that he might be sent to the Windy City's Chicago Bulls. The Bulls are now trying to move Taj Gibson as their rebuilding process moves on.

In a report held by Yibada, the Philadelphia 76ers are also in a rebuilding process and is trying to sell their last year's Rookie of the Year Runner Up Jahlil Okafor. Though Okafor is a big help during the Sixers' 2015 - 2016 Season, he is now linked in a couple of trade rumors, and the Bulls are quite a frontrunner to bring him in Chicago.

The fact is, the Chicago Bulls is not in a rebuilding process, what they are now trying to do is to put some significant help around its core players such as Jimmy Butler, the new acquired Rajon Rondo and the Flash himself Dwayne Wade. If the Bulls successfully acquire from the Philadelphia 76ers, this would lift Bulls to be a possible contender this season.

Though Okafor has some troubles on the defensive end due to his low lateral quickness, he can provide inside scoring for the Bulls. On the other hand, the Sixers might be planning to move Okafor out and get a versatile power forward to fill in the spot, thinking that since Joel Embiid is now ready to play, Embiid can make more impact than Okafor since Embiid is known to be an offensive threat and defensive firepower.

As per Inquisitr said, Okafor would be the missing link for the Bulls since they still have the sharpshooting Nikola Mirotic and younger Bobby Portis to fill the power forward spot if Taj Gibson would be traded. If the trade could be done, both the Bulls and Sixers will get a good benefit since they both need the players involved in the rumored deal.

Summary:

Jahlil Okafor is now linked to another possible trade since the Sixers are looking for a good deal to move him out. The Bulls are likely to be the possible team to land Okafor in exchange with Taj Gibson.
