‘Stranger Things’ Season 2 Air Date, News & Update: Netflix Series S2 Plot Teased By Duffer Brothers? Is Barb Coming Back?

"Stranger Things" Season 2 will give Netflix series creators Matt and Ross Duffer a chance to tie up loose ends from S1 - but will this include Barb (Shannon Purser)? Netflix offering "Stranger Things" for a second season is almost a foregone conclusion and the Duffer brothers are ready with the S2 plot.

IGN cites Matt Duffer in revealing that evil Doctor Brenner (Matthew Modine) may be back when Netflix returns with "Stranger Things." Fans of the Netflix series saw Doctor Brenner losing to the monster at "Stranger Things" Season 1 finale.

However, Matt Duffer says "Stranger Things" fans deserve to see a more satisfying ending for Doctor Brenner. Is "Stranger Things" favorite, Barb, going to be as lucky?

Although Barb only had two episodes and a bit in "Stranger Things" Season 1, Deadline points out that the Netflix character has become somewhat of an icon. When Barb got chewed up by a monster in "Stranger Things" Season 1, fans buzzed to see if Netflix and the Duffer brothers can bring her back some way.

Matt Duffer settles this for Netflix fans, who hope that may see Barb return in "Stranger Things" Season 2. According to Matt Duffer, "Stranger Things" Season 2 will not bring Barb back, but the Netflix series creator does have a promise.

"But Barb will not be forgotten," Matt Duffer said. "We'll make sure there's some justice for Barb." Matt Duffer expressed understanding of the disappointment among fans of the Netflix series but reminds that a lot was going on in "Stranger Things" Season 1.

The Netflix series creators set events in "Stranger Things" Season 1 within a timeframe of about seven days. Matt Duffer does say that this is why "Stranger Things" Season 2 will go into the fallout of events in S2.

Fans of the Netflix series may want to go back into "Stranger Things" Season 1 while S2 is being ironed out as IGN reveals just how many Easter Eggs S1 hides. What do you hope to see when Netflix brings "Stranger Things" Season 2, and would you like a drawn out end for Doctor Brenner?
