Rosie 'O Donnell Divorce, Custody & New Girlfriend: Michelle Rounds Wants Sole Custody of Child to Give Her 'A Normal Life'

Rosie 'O Donnell's ex is questioning the actress' parenting skills. According to People, Michelle Rounds is seeking sole custody of the former couple's daughter, two-year-old Dakota. Rounds said her desire to give Dakota a "normal life" is her priority as a parent.

Rounds shared her concerns over Dakota's welfare at Rosie's place in an interview with Entertainment Tonight. She said, "Right now she has 24/7 nannies over there at Rosie's house."

"I don't want my child to have a nanny. I want her to be outside playing, I want to be with her. I want to go to all the parent conferences and that's just not what it's about over there," Rounds stated. 

Rosie's rep revealed exclusively to People that Rounds sought for sole custody was "an absurd and desperate attempt to use a child for her own gain." 

Rounds was quick to defend her intention for sole custody of Dakota. "I'm at my daughter's every beck and call," she revealed. "I give her mild discipline instead of like carte blanche, do whatever you want, which is more or less how Rosie likes to do things." 

The host's ex also admitted that hers and Rosie's contrasting parenting styles have always caused troubles. She alleged that Rosie's weed and drinking habits threaten Dakota's well-being, as reported in TMZ.com.

Rounds denied seeking more money from her ex-partner as divorce proceedings ensued. "I made my first million before the age of 39, that was before I met Rosie. I don't need Rosie's money, I don't want Rosie's money," she clarified. "The prenup money means nothing to me. I will walk away from the prenup if Rosie will give me full custody." 

O' Donnell and Rounds were married in June 2012. The pair called it quits November last year. The comedian and "The View" host is also a parent to four kids from her relationship to ex-partner, Kelli Carpenter.

On Tuesday night, Rounds was allegedly seen getting cozy with model, Carmen Ortega, in L.A.'s Madera Kitchen, according to another TMZ article. Ortega's rep said her client and Rounds were just hard at work in completing a clothing line project. The rep did not confirm any romance ensuing between the two women.

Ortega previously dated NFL player Reggie Bush. She was also rumored to have caused the Jordin Sparks-Jason Derulo break-up.
