'Crazy Ex-Girlfriend' Season 2 Cast News & Update: 'Pitch Perfect' Star, 'Jane The Virgin' Fave Joining As Guests

"Crazy Ex-Girlfriend" Season 2 is introducing two new characters as guests and they are quite familiar to most viewers. One of them stars in the box office movie "Pitch Perfect" and the other is a favorite on "Jane the Virgin," which airs on the same broadcast network as "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend."

Brittany Snow from "Pitch Perfect" will play Anna on "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend," and she will be up for three episodes in Season 2. The character is described as "hip and cool" and runs a beauty business, per The Wrap.

The actress will also be doing a musical number on "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend" as fans might expect. Brittany Snow showed off her singing skills as one of the lead cast in "Pitch Perfect" and its sequels in the big screen.

"Crazy Ex-Girlfriend" creator and lead star Rachel Bloom enthusiastically announced Brittany Snow's addition with a song rendition. Bloom sang a few songs using her guest star's name in the lyrics, which Brittany Snow also shared on Twitter. It's enough to keep viewers of the show excited.

On the other hand, Yael Groblas from "Jane the Virgin" is also dropping by "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend" Season 2 for a single episode appearance. Fans of the show can expect her in the fourth episode, but this isn't actually a crossover of her characters Petra/Aneska from "Jane the Virgin."

Groblas will be playing the role of a businesswoman named Trina who will enlist the services of Rebecca Bunch (Bloom) as lawyer, per TV Line. It's highly likely that her Trina's arrival could have something to do with Anna, which will apparently change Rebecca's life in a huge way. However, Groblas is not expected to be dishing out any songs.

"Crazy Ex-Girlfriend" Season 2 is going to premiere on The CW on Friday, Oct. 21. The new episodes will also be available on Netflix eight days after it aired on The CW, as part of the network's agreement with the streaming service.
