'Agony' Game 2016: New Horror Survival Game Is Not For The Faint of Heart

Before you continue reading, please be informed that the "Agony" game contains plenty of graphic and discomforting content. In this brand new survival horror game, players are set to escape hell in this gory, spine-tingling new release from MadMind Studios.

If players think that this is just one of those horror games that puts you in hell and lets you smash monsters and ultimately escape, like "Dante's Inferno", then they are sadly mistaken. While not much is still known about the new "Agony" game other than it is, based in hell, it won't be your typical button mashing RPG.

"Agony" pits players in a first-person setting. The player, who plays as the main protagonist, is a tormented soul trapped in the depths of hell, according to the official "Agony" website. The protagonist, who is still unnamed, has no memory of how he arrived in hell.

There is also still no news about the "Agony" gameplay, with the first gameplay teaser not featuring any combat. The player goes through exploring hell by possessing other tormented souls and lower-level beasts, in order to find out more about the way to escape, and learn about his past and what brought the player to hell in the first place, according to a gaming report from Blumhouse.

The player is then confronted with his ultimate goal, and that is to have a meeting with the "Red Goddess," who is the key to his escape. There is also not much information given regarding the "Red Goddess," beside her being a scary looking demon, who could probably be a major enemy boss in the game.

The trailer for "Agony" is already available and it is pretty scary, filled with pools of blood, should crying in pain and sorrow, eye-gouging, and glimpses of the "Red Goddess" herself. The game itself is something that only the most hardcore of horror gamers should even think about playing.

"Agony" is set for release in 2017 on the Playstation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
