Kanye West and Adidas To Release Yeezy Basketball Sneakers

It's no secret that success comes with everything Kanye West touches or makes, especially his ultra-fast selling Adidas Yeezy sneakers and Pablo clothing line. With millions of Kanye's Yeezy 350s, 750s, and 950s, being shipped worldwide in different colorways, it wouldn't come as a surprise that the biggest name in the sneaker game would design his own line for the basketball court.

It has recently been revealed that Yeezus is already in the developing stages of designing his own line of basketball shoes, after the success of his previous sneakers, the Adidas Yeezy Boost and even the Air Yeezy from Nike. The rapper/producer/fashion designer/ business mogul plans on extending his Yeezy line to include athletic gear, and not just lifestyle and sportswear. With NBA players like Nick Young wearing West's Yeezy sneakers in actual games, his future basketball shoes could definitely be a hit.

Lifestyle website Highsnobiety, revealed some information regarding Kanye West's partnership with Adidas, reporting that the sports outfitting giant will launch West's brand of basketball sneakers in early 2017. A number Adidas endorsed athletes will be expected to don the signature shoes on the NBA court as well. Rumors are also going around that West will also be designing shoes for different sports in the Adidas line such as baseball, football, and soccer cleats. With Kanye West's label on the show, it wouldn't be hard to attract the biggest names in sports to proudly show support.

Sole Collector also reports that Adidas has been ramping up their Adidas + KANYE WEST headquarters in Portland, Oregon, in expanding the Yeezy brand. For the design of the actual Yeezy basketball shoes themselves, Sneaker News has noted that West often plays ball in low-cut, so that may entail that the new athletic sneakers may also have a low-cut look.

There are also rumors of Kanye West designing the latest Adidas shoe for NBA star Derrick Rose of the New York Knicks.
