'Chicago Fire' Season 5: Casey and Dawson Big Episode Teased; Firefighter Romance Lit- Info Here!

"Chicago Fire" season 5 is slated to return to the small screens on October. While fans wait for the new run, spoilers about the hit TV show continue to circulate online.

It has been previously suggested that the highly anticipated Casey and Dawson union could finally happen in "Chicago Fire" season 5. No official word has been released about the possible plot, but executive producer Matt Olmstead previously sat with TV Line, and dished on the team's ideas about the rumored wedding.

As Olmstead revealed, they are not totally avoiding the idea of a Casey and Dawson wedding in "Chicago Fire" season 5. However, he also claimed that they will not rush to pursue the plot if it will just make it look uninspired. Olmstead added that they want a big episode dedicated for Casey and Dawson in the upcoming run.

Meanwhile, two other members of the crew have something up their sleeves. According to CarterMatt, Brett and Mouch will team-up and try their luck in writing a firefighter romance lit. Interestingly, Olmstead told Entertainment Weekly that Platt will not be very excited about this new project. CarterMatt speculates that it has something to do with Mouch taking some ideas for the book from his personal life.

Fans are also expecting a crossover romance slated to happen in "Chicago Fire" season 5. A GamenGuide report claimed that Brett will find love "Chicago P.D.'s" Antonio Dawson in the upcoming run.

"Chicago Fire" season 5 will premiere on October 11, 2016 on NBC.
