Ian Somerhalder, Nikki Reed Divorce: Actor Reassures Jealous Wife Over Nina Dobrev’s Return In ‘The Vampire Diaries?’

Ian Somerhalder and Nikki Reed divorce rumors are heating up online, as Somerhalder's ex, Nina Dobrev is rumored to return in "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8. Reports suggest that Somerhalder's wife is threatened of Dobrev's return, which explains the 37-year-old actor's recent post on social media.

The reunion between Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder in "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 is reportedly making Nikki Reed feel threatened of her marriage. News of the 27-year-old actress' return in The CW series emerged after series creator Julie Plec revealed that Dobrev promised to return for the series finale, reports Teen Vogue.

Since "TVD" Season 8 is confirmed to be the show's last on air, many fans believe that Dobrev will make good of her promise and reprise her role as Elena Gilbert. Many fans are excited for the "Delena" reunion since Dobrev left the show in Season 6. However, this did not seem to sit well with Somerhalder because of his wife, Nikki Reed, is allegedly jealous over the couple's past relationship.

Many fans are insinuating on social media that Reed's jealousy may be the reason behind Somerhalder's recent post on Instagram. The photo showed an intimate pose between Somerhalder and Reed, which came with a sweet message for his wife.

Many fans believe that Somerhalder posted the said photo on social media in order to show his wife that he has no reason to feel threatened. However, there have been previous reports that Somerhalder and Reed are not fighting over Dobrev nor does the "Sleepy Hollow" actress feel threatened of Somerhalder's ex-girlfriend.
