'Iron Man 4' News: Robert Downey Jr. Turns Down Film Due To Money Issues? Tony Stark Will Die In 'Spider-Man'

Many Marvel fans are still expecting to see Robert Downey Jr. in "Iron Man 4." However, at the time, the project is still not final and we can't still confirm if the original "Iron Man" star will return to reprise his role.

According to reports, Robert Downey Jr.'s character Tony Stark will die and the new Marvel character, Ironheart might be leading "Iron Man 4." Reports have it that Downey Jr. and Marvel couldn't agree with the pay, that's why the "Sherlock Holmes" star is turning down "Iron Man 4."

FX News Call reported that Robert Downey Jr.'s net worth is $240 million and the actor is demanding for a pay hike. Aside from this, there are rumors that the MCU execs, themselves are not interested in doing "Iron Man 4," despite the huge success of "Iron Man 3."

Apart from the pay hike issues and MCU's alleged the lack of interest to develop "Iron Man 4" many are concerned that Robert Downey Jr. is too old for the character. The actor is already 51 years old and if the film will be produced three years from now he will be 54 by then, and perhaps 55 when it hits the big screens.

However, for "Iron Man" fans, there is no other actor for the role. In fact, Robert Downey Jr.'s age does not matter. There is no other man who can play better than Downey Jr. as the genius, billionaire, playboy and philanthropist superhero.

Robert Downey Jr. already expressed his interest to do one more film. So, if Marvel gives in to his demands, at least we can still see the actor donning the Iron Man suit for the last time in "Iron Man 4."

However, there are rumors that Tony Stark might not make it to "Iron Man 4." According to Ecumenical News, Tony Stark will be killed in "Spider-Man," where he will appear as the main character's mentor. Reports have it that Stark's death will pave the way for Riri Williams a.k.a Ironheart.

Do you agree that Marvel should kill Robert Downey's adorable character Iron Man? Are you still hopeful to see Downey Jr.'s sporting the Iron Man suit for the last time in "Iron Man 4?" Are you excited to meet Ironheart? Share your thoughts in the comment section below.
