NBA Trade Rumors: Ricky Rubio To Replace Mo Williams?

The Cleveland Cavaliers are not contented with just winning one season. As of this time, they are busy recruiting and training new players to win the title for the 2016- 2017 season.

Recent reports have indicated that Ricky Rubio from Minnesota Timberwolves may possibly be traded for Mo Williams. As Williams have not fully recovered from his knee injury and has not greatly contributed to last season, news that a trade might soon commence.

During last NBA season, Mo Williams, who is already a veteran player for the Cavalier, provided an underwhelming performance. To help the Cavalier's point guard, Matthew Dellavedova stepped in and aided in securing the team's title win.

Now, with a looming retirement, the Cavalier is possibly looking for a potential replacement for Williams. In a recent Tweet by Cleveland Sports Talk, Mo Williams may already be considering retirement.

Morning Ledger also acknowledges that Rubio would become a great asset for the Cleveland Cavalier. Rubio is also competing with other point guards for the Timberwolves with Zach LaVine and Kris Dunn as the rising point guards for the team, which makes him the odd man out.

Rubio who got an early draft for the Wolves also expressed his willingness to be traded and play for other teams if given the chance. With a possible opening for the Cavaliers and Rubio's desire to be traded, the Cavaliers may soon get to their senses and find Rubio as their next chance in creating a more effective team.

However, it is not just the Cleveland Cavaliers who may be getting Ricky Rubio. Four possible teams who may want to get the Timberwolves player are the Houston Rockets, Dallas Mavericks, Sacramento Kings and New Orleans Pelicans.

While there are still no news whether Mo Williams may just be traded or would wait for retirement under the Cavaliers or Ricky Rubio would be given an offer for a trade, or if Rubio would choose the Cavaliers in the first place, fans would still have to wait and see the final developments with these NBA trades.
