"Marco Polo" Season 3 from Netflix by creator John Fusco, almost had lead Lorenzo Richelmy (Marco Polo) co-star with someone else other than Benedict Wong as Kublai Khan. In a recent interview, Benedict Wong admitted that he had almost quit acting and would have missed playing Netflix fan favorite Kublai Khan in "Marco Polo" altogether.

Speaking to Den Of Geek, Benedict Wong recalled a time in his career long before his "Marco Polo" success on Netflix when the Kubali Khan actor almost turned his back on show business. Because of his Asian roots, Benedict Wong felt limited in acting opportunities despite having a British-Chinese upbringing.

Times came when the "Marco Polo" star thought that being an actor was not really for him. However, things did open up for Benedict Wong and the "Marco Polo" star found the breaks he had been looking for with such projects as "15 Storeys High."
