NBA Trade Rumors: Stephen Curry Joining Lakers? NOT Likely, GSW To Offer More Just To Keep Curry

Kevin Durant's decision to join the Golden State Warriors has affected OKC Thunder and the Warriors too much. Thunder lost one of its key players and GSW acquired another basketball superstar, which threatened the other Warriors. Reports have it that Stephen Curry's influence and responsibility in the team will now be reduced and that he might eventually leave the Warriors.

Most NBA fans believe that Golden State Warriors have higher chances of winning the NBA title this season because of their powerful roster. The team has four NBA All-Stars including Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green.

Unfortunately, the Warriors are plagued with several controversies. The players are reportedly turning against each other, which could potentially lessen their performance. Without teamwork, winning games, like a basketball will be more challenging.

Other teams are hoping that all four will not get along well, especially Kevin Durant and Stephen Curry, so they can acquire the latter. In fact, there are rumors that Curry will be leaving GSW to Durant because he will be moving to San Antonio Spurs or Los Angeles Clippers.

Aside from the said teams, the NBA trade rumors suggest that Los Angeles Lakers is also interested in signing Stephen Curry. Per Morning News USA, Lakers head coach has the wit and abilities to convince Curry to join their roster.

However, NBA analyst Arthur Hills suggests that Los Angeles Lakers should look for another basketball superstar because it is unlikely for Stephen Curry to leave the Warriors. GSW will surely take good care of the player when he hits the free agency market to re-sign with the team.

Stephen Curry is underpaid at only $12.1 million for the upcoming NBA season. However, this was due to his injury when he signed the deal four years ago. At the time Golden State Warriors are not in the position to renegotiate after offering a huge deal to Kevin Durant but they will probably offer a huge deal to Curry next summer.
