Parenting Tips: New Study Says Making Emotional Investments Leads To Effective Parenting

Parents only want what is best for their kids. If their greatest fear is to miss what could really work for the children, they tend to either overdo parenting or sometimes become so lenient that they neglect providing them the right discipline. If you are among those parents who is confused on how you are supposed to do parenting the right way, a new study suggests that emotional investment is the way to go.

In an article published by UPI, it says that scientists have found a new way for parents to raise their kids effectively. Two words are all you need, "emotional investment." This is apparently a secret in order to be at peace that your child would grow up just right according to how you want them raised. Researchers used 27 kids from four to six years old along with their parents who had emotionally invested in their needs.

It was noticed that parents who had made an emotional investment bonded well than those who had not. They also found out that it has improved the child's brain, which includes their memory and the ability to understand quickly. It goes to show that children whose parents emotionally invest in them tend to be more emotionally and mentally stable as well, as they grow up.

Researchers even did some tests through EEG, also known as, Electrotroencphalography, to check each of the child's emotional behavior. They posted all their findings via the Frontiers in Human Neuroscience journal. Children tend to be more independent and at the same time emotionally healthy when their parents are very much involved with their emotional health.
