Keira Knightley Gives Birth To First Child With Husband James Righton

Keira Knightley and husband James Righton are now officially parents. The actress has just given birth to their first child on Monday at an unnamed hospital in London, according to Us Weekly.

"The Pirates of the Caribbean" star's pregnancy was first announced in December by Elle Magazine, following Knightley's confirmation that she and her musician hubby are expecting their first child. At the moment, no details regarding the gender of the newborn child has been released. However, Knightley shared her fears of giving birth to a baby boy earlier this year in an interview with Ellen DeGeneres.

"Somebody said to me the other day, [that] the problem with boys is - sorry this is horrible - but when you're changing their nappies, you can get the wee in your face," Knightley said during the show. She then went on to say that the said experience was unknown to her and learning about it made the possibility of having a boy "terrifying."

"Apparently they roll as well, so you have to like try to stop them while you're trying to grab something else in order to stop them peeing in your face. That sounds quite interesting," she added.

Meanwhile, Knightley discussed the things she'd impart her child if she has a daughter. According to the Elle Magazine story, the actress will not encourage her future daughter to become an actress at such as early age. She said, "Oh, 100 percent, I'd absolutely tell her not to. I would 150 million trillion per cent be totally discouraging."

Knightley then explained that the opposition to celebrity life at an early age is rooted from her belief that teenage years should be experienced by youngsters privately. "You should be going out and getting unbelievably drunk, getting into ridiculous situations, making mistakes. That's what that time of life is about and we should do that privately," she elucidated.

Knightley told DeGeneres in the interview that she had been using her pregnancy as a tool to get Righton do the things she asks of him. For instance, the British rock star should party with her during awards shows and whatnot. "There's a lot of free champagne [at events], so he thinks because I'm not drinking, he has to. I'm eating for two and he's drinking for two," she said.

According to Us Weekly, Knightley and Righton got married in May 2013 in an intimate gathering in France.
